Call forwarding (keep your number)

Stay reachable on your usual number while you're in Israel: forward its calls to your new Israeli number.

Do this BEFORE you leave

  1. 1Set up forwarding while you still have your home SIM active, from your home phone/line.
  2. 2Never set it up from the Israeli eSIM — it won't work.
  3. 3Forward to your Israeli number in full international format: +972 5X XXX XXXX.

iPhone

  1. 1Settings › Phone › Call Forwarding → turn On.
  2. 2Enter your Israeli number (+972…) and go back to save.

Android

  1. 1Phone app › ⋮ menu › Settings › Call forwarding.
  2. 2Choose “Always forward” and enter your Israeli number (+972…).

Universal codes (most operators FR/BE/CH)

  1. 1Activate: dial **21*+972XXXXXXXXX# then call.
  2. 2Deactivate: dial ##21# then call.
  3. 3Check status: dial *#21#.

Call forwarding is a service of YOUR home operator. If a code is rejected, contact them — some plans need it enabled first.
